What is Disability Sport?
Disability Sport is an inclusive element of the work of Get Berkshire Active, to ensure that people with physical, sensory and learning difficulties have equal access to sport and physical activity across Berkshire.
Get Berkshire Active works with National Governing Bodies of Sport, Local Authorities, School Sports Networks, local disability groups and local clubs to ensure that sport and physical activity is available to people with disabilities living in Berkshire. We are always keen to develop further links with local clubs, groups and organisations who work directly with disabled people or who are keen to develop their offer for people with disabilities. If you are interested in finding out more about how to get involved in inclusive sport please contact James Craggs at email@example.com.
If you are interested in getting active or taking part in disability sport there are a wide range of opportunities across Berkshire. Please see our Disability Sport Club Directory for more information.
New events coming soon...
Berkshire Sport for All aims to develop Disability Sport across the whole of Berkshire providing opportunities for a diverse range of abilities.
Berkshire Sport for All managed by SportsAble has teamed up with Get Berkshire Active to achieve funding for this project and we are one of the supporting partners to help this initiate grow throughout Berkshire. Currently the project is in its infancies and hopes to make a real impact across 2015, by developing three sports hubs, one in the east, centre and west of Berkshire, to improve access to disability sport across the county.
